Tasty food, had just perfect stay.

The hotel was nicely decorated and quiet, we loved its HELPFUL staff. The room we had included a safe, a refrigerator, and coffee/tea making machines. The bed was comfortable with hypo-allergenic pillows.

Location: the hotel was really close to a private beach, popular places such as Ceylon Silders, Hangtime Hostel, Nomad Café, and Unawatuna and Galle on another side. We had a savoury breakfast and spotless, tastefully decorated room. The staff and people generally were amicable.

Its location to the Jungle beach was marvellous and absolutely perfect. Every staff member was affable and superfriendly. The rooms were brand-new and unique, had a shower, a hairdryer, and a bidet.

The decoration at South House was simply charming, with a warm and inviting ambiance that made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like myself. I especially loved the beautiful garden and terrace, where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

It would have been even better if there were more amenities and activities specifically catered to senior guests. Perhaps some gentle exercise classes or organized day trips that are tailored to our needs would have made the vacation even more enjoyable for us.

Location close enough to an almost private Bay Area with stilt fishermen, Galle fort and Unawatuna and Galle on another side. A huge variety of tasty breakfast options. Amicable and accommodating staff with a smile...

The hospitality we received at this place was absolutely mind-blowing! The owners and staff were always in touch and extremely helpful, even in extreme situations. The breakfasts and dinners were super tasty and exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a real holiday and showered us with attention. We felt safe and well taken care of at all times. The location was superb, just a short walk to the beautiful reef beach. The modern feel, comfy bed, and delicious food cooked by Palitha made us feel extremely well looked after. The homely atmosphere and short distance to the secluded beach were jaw-dropping. Glenn, the host, was amazing and genuinely cared about our comfort. The staff were friendly and served amazing meals. The spacious and quiet room was top-notch, as was the location tucked away from the busy road. The nearby beach was breathtaking, and we even got to snorkel with a turtle! The peace and tranquility of the place were out of this world. The spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, and attention to detail left us speechless. The beautiful decor, lovely garden, and pool were stunning. Glenn's assistance and Malka's exceptional cooking and cleaning skills were worth mentioning. We would highly recommend this place and can't wait to return soon.

I recently stayed at South House in Weligama for a week-long holiday. The modern feel of the hotel and the incredibly comfortable bed made our stay even more enjoyable. The highlight of our visit was the delicious food prepared by Palitha, some of the best we had during our entire trip. The staff at South House went above and beyond to ensure we felt well cared for, even keeping their night watchman on duty to ensure our safety. The homely atmosphere and proximity to a secluded beach were also major highlights of our stay.

Can just recommend this hotel.

The large dining pavilion at South House is a hidden gem! With its lounge area, free WIFI, and TV with a huge DVD collection, it's like having your own personal entertainment hub. The board games and music selection are just icing on the cake. I never had a dull moment during my stay.

No windows in the room.

amazing stay at a peaceful budget retreat in Weligama. Spotlessly clean room, comfy bed, and lovely decor. The staff, especially Glenn and Malka, were incredibly helpful. The USB charging port was a bonus. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great stay at a lovely hotel close to the beach. The spacious and modern rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a homely feel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt well looked after, even the night watchman stayed to make sure we got back safely. The food cooked by Palitha was exceptional and some of the best we had during our holiday. Despite the owners still working on the property, it didn't affect our stay at all. We hope to return when the pool is finished. I highly recommend this hotel.
